Job Description
- Participate in implementing expected plans and programs in accordance with set goals to ensure the development of internal operations and increased productivity.
- Full and absolute compliance with all instructions issued by the General Customs department and the principles followed in all customs transactions and any other relevant official department and/or official institution .
- Prepare all required customs paperwork related to exemptions and their implementation.
- Report any violations or infractions related to the company to any relevant party during work procedures.
- Prepare the customs clearance department’s action plan, work schedules, and streamline workflow to enhance department efficiency.
- Coordinate and monitor daily activities with all relevant departments within the company regarding customs clearance operations for both imports and exports.
- Propose plans and programs that help improve performance.
- Verify the collection, arrangement, documentation, and archiving of all data models and invoices.
- Prepare regular reports regarding the activities and accomplishments of the customs clearance department.
- Monitor documents with shipping agents and shipping lines.
- Study invoices and shipping data to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Follow up after each shipment with warehouse and production management to verify shipment accuracy.
- Maintain records for all fine and detention operations and follow up with buyers.
- Monitor and review quotations from local and international customs clearance companies.
- Issue a monthly quittance certificate from the relevant official departments regarding the company’s operations.
- Review and reconcile all monthly restrictions with the company’s finance department.
- Coordinate and follow up between free zones and Jordanian customs for the purpose of closing and monitoring company restrictions.
- Request and follow up on compensation amounts from shipping companies in case of delays, discrepancies, or errors, and open records for deposit and withdrawal requests, and archive customs data organized in the customs center for the company and other companies.
Qualifications
- First university degree as a minimum in a related field.
- Previous practical experience in Customs Clearance for at least 5 years.
- Holds a branch manager license and passes the branch managers course granted by the General Customs Department Clearance .
Conditions & Required Documents:
- Certificate of good conduct from the competent security authorities.
- Clearance letter from previous companies.
- A certificate of passing an English language level test from one of the recognized institutes, provided that his grade is not less than good .
- Maximum 40 years old.
