Government, Public Affairs, Communication and Community Engagement Manager .

Responsibilities

  • Manage the establishment of strategic plans & goals related to job functions through effective planning and control resulting in accomplishing JBC goals and realizing its mission.
  • Developing a strategic public affairs/outreach plan, supported by annual operational plans, KPI`s, goals and objectives and financial forecasts to address JBC needs.
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive public affairs program to foster awareness, understanding and support for JBC activities and programs amongst local authorities and public.
  • Manage the establishment, implementation and follow up of department policies and procedures and make necessary corrective actions to ensure maintaining the best interests of JBC stakeholders.
  • Follow-up on the main communication activities related to department main function and assure high quality of written communication letter, memos and JBC related documents.
  • Management of JBC CSR activities and donations to serve company`s best social interests.
  • Communicate with local community and authorities to assure effective use of JBC donation and maintain excellent relations with the local community and local authorities.
  • Monitor the department function’s performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is according to requirement and preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly.
  • Carry out performance appraisals for subordinates according to planned schedules and recommending necessary actions (promotion, training need, disciplinary action  …etc.) as per the applied practices.
  • Approve financial Transactions according to authorisation matrix.
  • Set budget related to job functions and monitor its expenditures to assure that the financial performance is according to the budget.
  • Manage the establishment of objectives to reduce cost and improve performance.
  • Manage cost, distribution the cost to the right cost centres within the right category.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department regarding the bids & contracts related to job functions to serve the best interests of JBC.
  • Work with JBC management to ensure overall JBC goals are achieved and any approved procedure is correctly implemented within department.
  • Manage the coordination and communication with other JBC departments to assure departments plans, goals policies and procedures are met and correctly implemented.
  • Contract with vendors to provide the required services & products, and report any deviations.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with other departments and subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear, and workflow is running smoothly.
  • Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, social security, courts and others. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Prepare periodic reports regarding job function’s activities and achievements to be submitted to management and submitting related recommendations when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / public relations or equivalent.  Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 12 years of experience in a related position, of which at least (4) in a managerial position.
