This role involves implementing security strategies and company policies to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of information. The Information Security Officer is responsible for monitoring the organization’s network and servers for security breaches, investigating incidents when they occur, and evaluating, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that help protect the organization from potential security attacks.
• Analyze risks and assess security vulnerabilities, developing strategies to mitigate threats
and risks.
• Prepare and implement a security incident response plan.
• Implement an information security framework that ensures the confidentiality, integrity,
and availability of data.
• Review and enforce information security policies and procedures to serve the company’s
interests.
• Review user access and access levels within applications to ensure the implementation of
separation of duties.
• Manage and review user and vendor access to JBC’s networks and systems.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of JBC’s network and servers,
following up with the IT team to address findings.
• Analyze existing security systems and recommend changes or improvements.
• Monitor and respond to security system alerts.
• Monitor JBC’s internal and external networks for security breaches.
• Ensure compliance with ISO27001 information security standards and other security
frameworks.
• Review the configurations and security structures of the company’s network and servers
to ensure compliance with best practices.
• Evaluate, implement, and maintain required security solutions to protect the company’s
information systems and data.
• Implement technical security measures such as firewall configuration, encryption, and
intrusion detection systems.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, investigating breaches and taking
necessary actions.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with
applicable security standards and regulations.
• Manage the technical aspects of user authentication, access controls, and identity and
access management.
• Provide quick and effective responses to security incidents, investigating and taking
necessary measures to address and prevent future occurrences.
• Provide technical advice regarding IT network security to assist in making informed
decisions.
• Protect company information from leaks and ensure the confidentiality of information at
Bromine Jordan Company, preventing breaches of devices, email, and accounts, thereby
supporting productivity and minimizing potential cyber risks.
• Execute information security audit requirements and fulfill any necessary corrective
actions.
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
Professional Certifications and Training:
• Recognized professional certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security
Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) or CISA (Certified
Information Systems Auditor) and certifications in the field of security penetration and
information security.
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker).
Work Experience:
• At least 3-5 years of experience in the field of information security and risk management,
working in an IT environment.
Required Knowledge:
• Deep understanding of information security technologies and secure programming, with
the ability to analyze risks, assess vulnerabilities, and implement and maintain technical
security solutions.
• Knowledge of legislation and standards: Familiarity with applicable information security
laws and regulations and recognized security standards, such as ISO 27001.
• Cloud security knowledge.
