Inspection Technician.

Responsibilities

Implement inspection works related to the strategies and goals for mechanical inspection functions providing effective and efficient activities serving department goals.
Work according to inspection policies and procedures as per the international codes of API, ASME, ASTM, NACE, ADR, DOT, ASM and Albemarle standards to assure safe and correct employees activities and equipment operation.
Implementing mechanical inspection procedures and do all activities correctly on due date while ensure equipment and environment safety.
Work mechanical inspection activities based on technical knowledge and expertise to solve problems correctly and safely.
Participate in internal department training of the new employees and interns within his area of expertise to assure activities within department are performed safely and correctly.
Do inspection activities of equipment and piping, including review of preliminary interpretations carried out by subordinates to assure testing done correctly and accurate results are obtained.
Works glass lined equipment inspections, repairs, shimming works and quality procedures.
Works on Safety valves and rupture discs specifications; inspections, testing, and inventory follow up.
Provide data, comments and feedback to his supervisor about equipment’s status and maintenance activities to help making correct maintenance decisions.
Communicate day-day issues with the Inspection Engineer and provide feedback on work progress.
Report the actions performed on equipment, update on work progress and address any significant findings.
Work all inspection activities while complying with JBC health, safety and environment procedures.

Qualifications

Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
4-8 years experience as inspection technician in chemical manufacturing plants, refineries or similar fields.
Good Experience in Inspection and testing works for Stationary Equipment (Heat Exchanger, Tanks, Reactors, Boilers, Safety valves).
Good knowledge on computer software like CMMS, Microsoft Word , Excel, and Power point.
Ability to understand and apply the HSE policies .
Good in English communication skills, in verbal, reading and writing.
