Logistics Manager

We offer this distinctive opportunity to work in a stimulating and professional environment, Logistics Manager is Managing logistics activities to satisfy company needs and address customer requirements of transporting and delivering JBC products to its customers while complying with all laws and regulations related to the transportation of chemical product locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the establishment of strategies and goals for logistics department’s functions providing effective planning and control so that business plan targets are met.
  • Manage the establishment of logistics department Policies and procedures to assure safe and correct employees activities and equipment operation.
  • Manage the follow-up on implementing logistics and safety procedures within department and make necessary corrective actions if needed to ensure personnel, equipment and environment safety.
  • Making critical decisions regarding technical logistics activities based on technical knowledge and expertise to solve problems correctly and safely with minimum cost.
  • Manage keeping the logistics process running with the required quantity and quality, by enforcing getting the work done right from first time, minimize the break inns with cooperation with production team, to satisfy customer requests and minimize customer complains.
  • Manage internal department training to assure suitable training is provided for subordinates according to their responsibilities so all activities within departments are performed safely and correctly.
  • Maintain department staff by recruiting, selecting as being part of the selection committee in addition to manage orienting, and training of new employees.
  • Motivate and develop reporting staff ensuring that objectives are established and communicated; individual performance is supported, monitored and reviewed, to ensure manpower plans are met.
  • Manage providing accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
  • Practice authorities according to the Delegation of Authorities (DoA) matrix to Ensure correct utilization of assigned duties.
  • Monitor the department function’s performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly.
  • Manage ensuring all JBC products are delivered to customers safely in a good state and on time with minimum customers complains.
  • Assure that logistics work continuously within the highest standards and benchmark the logistics activities and procedures continuously with the best industrial practices to implement the state-of-the art technologies and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Set the logistics budget and financial forecasting, and monitoring the expenditures of Logistics department function to assure that the financial performance is according to the budget.
  • Work with JBC management to ensure overall JBC goals are achieved and any approved procedure is correctly implemented within department.
  • Ensure all logistics activities are complying to JBC health, safety and environment procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Bachelor’s degree in Business Management Or Engineering.
  • Work Experience: 10 years experience within chemical industry logistics management.
