Paid Training Opportunities – Procurement Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

In line with our social responsibility and active participation in training and qualification, Jordan Bromine Company announces the availability of training opportunities for recently graduated Procurement Logistics Coordinator. The training period is one year, extendable (not leading to employment).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various teams and departments within the company, such as sales, procurement, and production coordinators, to determine import requirements (including purchases for parts, projects, and other procurements except for raw materials) and ensure their timely availability.
  • Review contractual terms with suppliers regarding Incoterms through the procurement department to enable effective planning for incoming shipments.
  • Communicate and coordinate with suppliers to monitor the status of incoming shipments and ensure their timely delivery according to the required standards.
  • Handle shipping lines/shipping agent companies and organize shipping and receiving processes to ensure the accurate receipt of goods and materials according to scheduled timelines.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies to arrange the shipping process.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain the necessary documentation for incoming shipments, ensure their proper completion, and provide them to the team responsible for customs clearance.
  • Consistently follow up with the customs clearance team to ascertain the receipt schedules and coordinate with transportation officials.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse department to receive, store, and organize incoming goods efficiently according to established standards and procedures, and well in advance of the storage site’s arrival.
  • Coordinate with the quality, security, and other relevant departments involved in receiving incoming shipments for inspection and entry of shipments, well ahead of the arrival at the site.
  • Send copies and original shipping documents upon receipt to the concerned departments as per the approved procedures.
  • Maintain and archive shipping documents, invoices, and bills of lading according to regulations and requirements.
  • Send shipping and clearance invoices to the finance department for follow-up.
  • Evaluate the performance of service providers for shipping, transportation, insurance, and others based on the supplier evaluation criteria adopted by the company.

Qualifications

 

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a Jordanian citizen.
  • Must be a recent graduate and not older than 26 years.
  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related engineering field with a minimum grade of “Good.”
  • Must be available for training and not employed by any other entity.
  • Must have good computer skills.

 

The trainees will be selected based on exam results and interviews, and successful candidates will receive suitable monthly stipends in addition to theoretical and practical field training at the company’s site in the Ghor Al-Safi area.
