Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Implement payroll and rewards policies and ensure compliance with local legislation and standards.
  • Manage the process of employee payroll and benefits according to regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure the accuracy of employee work hours, monthly schedules, and verify the accuracy of employee attendance data to ensure accurate payroll calculations.
  • Calculate employee deductions such as loans, taxes, social security, legal withholdings, and other deductions in accordance with Jordanian labor laws and requirements from relevant authorities such as tax authorities and social security.
  • Calculate monthly salaries for employees based on provided information regarding allowances, deductions, and other bonuses, etc.
  • Prepare final payroll statements, review them, obtain the necessary managerial approval, and then either print or electronically send them to employees.
  • Prepare and distribute employee salaries using approved methods, whether through electronic payments or checks, utilizing the approved payroll software.

Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Work Experience: 5-7 years of experience in payroll preparation in similar leading companies.
  • Professional Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or other professional certifications and accredited training courses in the field are considered an additional advantage.

    • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in using Excel software.
    • Advanced level of proficiency in the English language.

Knowledge:

    • Understanding of payroll calculation processes and methods.
    • Knowledge of labor laws, tax laws, social security regulations, and other relevant regulations.
