Project – E&I Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Perform project works related to E&I that may include master planning, existing facility evaluations, assist in feasibility studies, design, cost estimating contribution, and similar technical functions.
  • Create and update electrical schematics, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams as well as conduit schedules and layouts.
  • Proper record keeping of drawing, equipment specifications agreed management of change activities and any supportive documents making sure of the availability and update of all related documents.
  • Lead and recommend new continuous improvement solutions for installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within specific fields of endeavor.
  • Develops scope and description of technology items and leads the implementation and operation of developed solutions in the field.
  • Proactively identify, develop solutions and implement for any issues that may affect cost, schedule, safety or quality.
  • ensure timely resolution of project issues arising in all phases of the project development.
  • Negotiate agreements and change orders with design and execution contractors when needed.
  • Ensure safety measures are implemented in the projects’ execution.
  • Be fully familiar with company (KPIs) and proactively identify actions to ensure those KPIs are achieved.
  • Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and schedule. Attend project meetings e.g. progress, stakeholders, design review, value improvement, etc.
  • Participate in estimating costs, prepare justifications, and complete expenditure requests as required as technical expert.
  • Coordinate with Project Controls to ensure project schedule and costs are accurately maintained and forecasted.
  • Responsible for both the quality of deliverables and effective execution of project assignments.
  • Follow-up on implementing projects and safety procedures within department and contractor and make/recommend necessary corrective actions if needed to ensure personnel, equipment and environment safety.
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and conducts inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment.
  • Monitor projects execution performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly.
  • Support the continuous update and adherence to projects procedures, and make sure that team and contractor are always complying with IS-9001 and ISO 14000 procedures.
  • Carry out performance appraisals for subordinates according to planned schedules and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices.
  • Reports technical and Safety issues in addition to other observation to Supervisor and Manager.
  • Ensure all projects activities are complying to JBC health, safety and environment procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4 Years of experience in same filed..
  • Good written and spoken English skill.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge in Ms office, including word, Excel (Advanced), power point.
