Safety Technician

Supports the HSE team in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of HSE programs, ensuring compliance with JBC policies & Procedures.
Operate, maintain, certify, inspect, calibrate, and oversee installation of safety equipment and emergency response.
Daily and periodic inspection of workplaces and facilities to monitor hazards and assess risks in the working environment, periodic inspection of occupational safety and health tools, follow-up arrangement, organization, and good hygiene in the company.
Participate in the selection of personal protective equipment according to the Jordanian standard adopted in this field.
Able to respond to emergency situations during or after working hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Must have a Diploma Degree in HSE/ Chemical Industries/ Paramedics or equivalent.
Two years’ experience (as min) in industrial field (chemical plants is preferred).
Hold an accreditation course in occupational safety and health as supervisor from vocational training center.
Good knowledge in Jordanian law and regulations related to health and safety in addition to international standard such as OSHA, NFPA.
Experience in work at height protection system and construction safety.
Experience in fire protection systems such fire water pumps, sprinkler system and fire extinguishers.
Very good English language skills, communication skills and computer skills.
