Training Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop new training department for Jordan Bromine Company, including recruiting and hiring proper team members as the department grows with the site.
  • In collaboration with projects team scope, design, and outfit new Training Center and training equipment.
  • Develop and update training policies, programs, and procedures to ensure correct and effective JBC training activities that will provide world class skilled and competent employees in HSE, Operations, and Maintenance.
  • Develop manufacturing training plans to ensure sufficient training levels across the manufacturing organization, in line with approved site policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain a technical competency model for the company.
  • Ensure learning experiences incorporate adult learning principles and instructional design principles and are aligned to business priorities and leadership competencies.
  • Measure program effectiveness and adapt to improve satisfaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change and business results.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding leadership effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to deliver learning solutions.
  • Develop strategies and tracking tools to ensure employees are qualified and competent to perform their duties.
  • Supervise the implementation of strategies and goals for training functions providing effective planning and control so that business plan targets are met.
  • Develop training agreements with vendors, universities, Vocational centers, and associations according to company policies and follow-up on the implementation to satisfy trainee’s needs and company interests.
  • Follow-up on implementing Training functions within department and all-over JBC and make necessary corrective actions if needed to ensure maintaining JBC best interests and satisfying employee`s needs.
  • Develop and provide training materials to ensure trainees have suitable references during and after training.
  • Assure training certificates are provided according to training courses.
  • Supervise conducting and documenting key safety training exams results to make sure employees are authorized to issue work permits and receive work permits.
  • Supervise training documentation so that training all details (training type, Subject, date, period, cost, training hours, training provider) are properly documented.
  • Administrate and develop training software to satisfy company needs.
  • Administrate site LMS system. When team is large enough, look to hire LMS administrator to be responsible for the LMS system.  Collaborate with Human Resources team in regards to non-manufacturing related training / LMS requirements.

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Work Experience:
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry
  • 3 years in skills training and/or teaching/education
  • Experience in developing a training program or training department from ground up highly preferred.
  • Experience/expertise in adult learning principles preferred.
